First, our technicians will create access panels in the main line of the ductwork. Next, they will connect our vacuum hoses from the compressor on the vacuum truck to the access panel created in the main line. The hose is connected to the ductwork using industry-specific equipment that ensures the hose is properly sealed and stabilized.

The compressor uses negative air pressure to create a powerful vacuum within the ductwork. This suction is measured at 16,000 to 17,000 CFM, which is the most powerful vacuum permitted without damaging or collapsing the ductwork. The vacuum will pull all the debris and build-up down through the ductwork system, out through the hose and then properly dispose of it in the vacuum truck. This will remove the majority of the contaminants from the system. We also go to each register and cold air return and use compressed air to individually air-wash all the components, as well as loosen or agitate anything that is built up within that branch of ductwork. In the main line of the ductwork, we will insert specialized air-scrubbing tools that will loosen or agitate anything built up within the plenum and the interior of the ductwork. Any debris that is loosed is then pulled out through the vacuum. Finally, our technicians will clean the blower compartment and air compartment of the furnace. We take great pride in providing a complete cleaning so this additional part of the cleaning is included in our pricing. When the cleaning is complete, our technicians will properly seal and plug the access panels.
