Amistee Air Duct Cleaning & Insulation was started on January 1, 2005. Since then, this company has now served thousands of residential and commercial customers throughout Michigan. In June of 2022 Amistee expanded its indoor air quality, home efficiency and comfort efforts to the Mid-Michigan area by purchasing a second location in Burton, MI. Currently Amistee operates out of both Novi and Burton locations.
Mike McCowan and Steve Dickinson began Amistee Air Duct Cleaning & Insulation after graduating from Michigan State University. They opened Amistee after realizing there was a need to help millions of homeowners and businesses fight the constant problem of poor indoor air quality (IAQ).

It houses working furnaces with multiple duct systems and a fully functioning dryer. The duct work is made transparent so our team can visualize and grasp the differences in the industry-specific tools we use and what is happening within the interior of your ventilation system during our duct cleaning.
The dryer is used to exemplify possible situations in dryer vent cleaning. The technicians are trained to handle different scenarios in order to completely comprehend how to expertly clean any vent system.

Did you know that the state of Michigan requires air duct cleaners to have a state license to clean air ducts? Any
time someone legally accesses the ductwork in a residential or commercial setting, they must have a Category 3 Mechanical Contractors License.
In Michigan there are several air duct cleaning companies ignoring these state requirements. Don't let an unqualified, unlicensed company clean your air ducts. If there is any type of problem regarding their service, the customer has no recourse. When hiring a company to do your air duct cleaning, make sure you ask them to provide you with their state license number, then call the state to verify it's authentic. In Michigan, it's also required that duct cleaners have a pesticide license to apply any sanitizer or deodorizer to ductwork.
